Amazon (AMZN, Financials) announced the launch of its latest smart display, the Echo Show 21, on Wednesday.
Available for immediate purchase, the $399.99 gadget has a bigger display surface than its predecessor, the Echo Show 15.
Double the bass and room adaptation technologies provide the Echo Show 21 improved audio capabilities. Improved for better video conversations, the auto-framing camera has 65% greater zoom capacity than the Echo Show 15. Amazon included noise lowering technologies onto the gadget as well.
Designed as smart home hubs, both the Echo Show 21 and a revised Echo Show 15 cost $299.99. Users may operate linked home systems like light switches and plugs by connecting to Wi-Fi and Thread and Zigbee devices. The monitors also include news, market prices, and sports scores. Both designs call for wall-mounting hardware and Alexa Voice Remote.
These smart home displays complement a larger product range from Amazon, which just introduced Fire HD 8 tablets and Fire TV Omni-LED Series.
Amazon shares are trading for $201.58 in Wednesday trading, down 1.5%.
