TE Connectivity (TEL, Financial) has announced a significant leadership transition as Robert J. Ott, the company's Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller, plans to retire effective January 3, 2025. In a strategic move, the company has appointed Reuben M. Shaffer to succeed Mr. Ott in this pivotal role. Mr. Shaffer, who is currently serving as Vice President, Assistant Corporate Controller, has been with TE Connectivity since December 2023. His extensive experience within the company, including roles in Internal Audit and Global Treasury, positions him well for this leadership position.

Mr. Shaffer's appointment is a testament to his dedication and expertise, having joined TE Connectivity in 2008 and progressively taking on more responsibilities. Prior to his tenure at TE, he was a Manager at Protiviti. Notably, there are no arrangements or understandings with any other person regarding Mr. Shaffer's selection, and he has no family ties with any director or executive officer of the company.

In addition to this leadership change, TE Connectivity's Board of Directors has scheduled the company's 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for March 12, 2025. Shareholders of record as of January 9, 2025, will be entitled to vote at the meeting. The company will provide further details in the proxy statement to be filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

For the upcoming Annual Meeting, the deadline for shareholders to submit proposals or director nominations is November 22, 2024. This deadline also applies to compliance with the universal proxy rules under Rule 14a-19 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, provided all other requirements are met.
