Stellantis, the automotive manufacturer, has announced plans to cut 1,100 jobs at its plant in Toledo, Ohio, as part of efforts to manage high inventory levels and improve overall performance. The company will reduce production at this facility from a two-shift operation to a single shift.

Last week, Stellantis indicated that it is taking swift actions to lower inventory levels by decreasing shipments to dealers and enhancing consumer incentives. The company aims for these workforce reductions to help align its U.S. operations with sales expectations, positioning itself positively for 2025. The job cuts are expected to take effect starting January 5.
