A Boeing 737 aircraft of Indonesia's Trigana Air experienced an engine fire just before takeoff, resulting in the evacuation of all passengers. Four individuals sustained minor injuries during the emergency evacuation process.

An airport official reported that panic ensued when a passenger noticed smoke and flames coming from the engine. In the chaos, one passenger opened the emergency exit, prompting others to rush towards the emergency exits, with some even jumping off the aircraft.

All 121 passengers and 8 crew members successfully evacuated the airplane. The flight was subsequently canceled, and the National Transportation Safety Committee of Indonesia has launched an investigation into the incident.
