IBM (IBM, Financials) introduced the IBM Guardium Data Security Center, a new software aimed at securing data across hybrid cloud, AI, and quantum computing environments. Using security measures, the platform lets companies safeguard data all through its lifetime.
Under one dashboard, the IBM Guardium Data Security Center combines features for monitoring, governance, artificial intelligence and data security posture management, and cryptography management. It also incorporates generative artificial intelligence capabilities to provide risk summaries and improve output of security teams.
Designed to guard AI installations against vulnerabilities and data governance breaches, IBM Guardium AI Security, a component of the new software, helps to control the emergence of unsanctioned "shadow AI" models, IBM said. Using IBM's post-quantum cryptography techniques, IBM Guardium Quantum Safe helps safeguard encrypted data against possible assaults triggered by future quantum computing concerns, according to the company.
IBM Guardium Quantum Safe lets companies monitor cryptographic security and enforce government, internal, and external compliance policies.
The platform connects with IBM's more general products, including IBM Watsonx and IBM Quantum Safe Transformation Services. Using knowledge gained from IBM Research, the cybersecurity team at IBM Consulting assists companies with post-quantum cryptography solutions.
With distributed identity elements, IBM is also extending its Verify identity access management solution, which lets users save and maintain digital credentials under more privacy and security control.
