Microsoft Strengthens AI Partnership with UAE's G42

The U.S. government has approved the export of advanced AI chips to Microsoft's facilities in the United Arab Emirates, enhancing its collaboration with UAE's AI company, G42. Earlier this year, Microsoft invested $1.5 billion in G42, gaining a minority stake and a board seat. As part of this deal, G42 will utilize Microsoft's cloud services to power its AI applications. Stakeholders in G42 include Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Company, the UAE royal family, and U.S. private equity firm Silver Lake.
