SL Green Realty Corp. has transferred a portion of its stake in One Vanderbilt, a skyscraper near Manhattan's Grand Central Terminal, to Japan's Mori Building Co. This transaction values the property at $4.7 billion.
According to a recent announcement, Mori Building acquired an 11% equity interest in the property. Following this deal, SL Green now retains a 60% ownership stake in the building.
Standing at 427 meters, One Vanderbilt was completed in 2020 and is one of Midtown's newest office towers. It has successfully attracted a variety of high-profile tenants from the finance, technology, and legal sectors, including firms like Carlyle Group and Toronto-Dominion Bank. The building is currently fully leased.
