Renowned investor Stanley Druckenmiller (Trades, Portfolio), known for his tenure as a portfolio manager at Soros' Quantum Fund, has updated the holdings of his Duquesne Family Office for the third quarter. The firm has made significant acquisitions, including U.S. regional bank ETFs, Broadcom (AVGO, Financial), and Ascendis Pharma (ASND). Notably, it purchased 2.05 million shares of SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE), valued at $116 million, and invested around $40 million each in Broadcom and Ascendis Pharma.
During the same period, the office increased its holdings in Natera (NTRA), a healthcare testing company, and Philip Morris (PM), a tobacco company, with holdings reaching $453 million and $138 million, respectively. However, Druckenmiller liquidated positions in Nvidia (NVDA) and Option Care Health (OPCH), involving 210,000 and 1.87 million shares, respectively.
The firm also made significant reductions in its stakes in Microsoft (MSFT) and Vistra Corp (VST), cutting holdings by 89% and 85% respectively.
