Over the past few years, Ecovyst has made a substantial transformation from PQ Corp., including the $650 million sale of Performance Materials, also known as Potters, to The Jordan Company in December 2020, and the $1.1 billion sale of Performance Chemicals to Cerberus and Koch Minerals in August 2021.
Ecovyst now reports in 2 segments. There's Ecoservices, which includes sulfuric acid regen services business, or regen for short, which basically sells strong acid to its customers and the customers process that acid. Strong acid weakens and then the customer returns the weak acid to Ecovyst to restrengthen it, to just resell it again. It's a nice virtuous circle. And the second is Catalyst Technologies,
